To find our place, half way between Burnie and Smithton, Tasmania, look for what used to be the Araluen Camp at Detention River. A sign marks the main entry off the Bass Highway.

To find our place on Google Earth or Maps, look for the Rocky Cape National Park on the Northwest Coast of Tasmania. Move westward from the park, along the beach toward Stanley, until you see the Detention River estuary with a large bridge crossing the river.  Our community sits just east of the bridge and petrol station, a cluster of buildings on the south side of the Bass Highway.
